How much is the security deposit and how do I get it back?
The security deposit for all units is 350 euros. The deposit is meant to cover damages, broken items
or other expenses not covered by the contract. You get the security deposit back in full on the day you
move out.
In order to reserve a unit for a future date how do I get that done?
You are in Athens and you need a place to rent. Before you move in:
What happens if I make a 6 month contract and I leave earlier?
If you sign a 6 month lease - you will get a 6 month - discounted price. BUT if you are forced to leave
earlier (e.g. after 3 months) you will loose the rental amount for the last month. You will get back your
security deposit provided all is well. This is our way of giving long term clients a good deal and keeping
everybody honest. Plan accordingly - do not sign a six month or a twelve month contract if you are not
sure how long you are staying.
What is included in the price - are there any hidden extras?
The rental price includes everything - building fees, electricity, heat and water costs. Again, because
heat and electricity is far from free - in order to keep folks honest there is a quota on power and
heating costs. There is a power meter in each unit. If more than 100kwa per month is consumed the
tenant is charged .38 euros per kwa.
Regarding heat consumption (this holds true for the new units only in Ampelokipi) the lesser can
control heat via a thermostate. Again if more than 50 euros per month is consumed the difference is
paid by the tenant.
Both these exceptions are clearly stated in the contract and are also verbally explained when you move
in.
There are no other hidden extras.
